Resurge Reviews [Updated]: SCAM ALERT!!! 3 Reasons Why You SHOULD NOT Use It.

A vast majority of Americans are struggling to lose weight. According to a survey, an estimated 160 million U.S citizens are either obese or overweight. Nearly three-quarters of American men and more than 60% of women are dealing with these problems. More and more people start looking for “the fastest way to burn fat”. As a result, the market is flooded with a significant number of weight loss supplements that we cannot confirm their quality. One of them is Resurge. In this Resurge review, we will deep dive into it.

With all the winged words used to describe this product, such as “the most voluntary weight loss supplement in the history” or “help you to achieve a slim body effortlessly”, it surely has gained a massive amount of attention. However, Resurge also receives many negative comments, indicating that this product is just a scam. In this Resurge review, we would like to warn you about this product and explain why you should NOT waste your money.

To begin this Resurge review, what is Resurge?

RESURGE REVIEW – RESURGE SUPPLEMENT

As you can see, on the official website, Resurge claims to be the first certified weight loss supplement that deals with the most significant cause of weight gain, sleep deprivation. The creator said that he used only purest grade naturally sourced nutrients to create this product. Therefore, it is 100% natural, poses absolutely no side-effect to the body, and can even be consumed by vegetarians.

What Benefits Resurge Claims To Bring?

What Resurge offers sound really inviting, but at the same time, it makes me feel like they are exaggerating it:

  • Provide you with a profound sleep.

The creator claimed that the formula contains many nutrients that can support your sleep. Therefore, the Resurge supplement claims that it would help eliminate sleep deprivation and increase the duration of the deep sleep phase.

  • Reverse the aging process.

John Barban has a point about the metabolic regeneration process while you are asleep. And that, since it really works to improve sleep, it can also make skin look better, and hair becomes smoother, as body cells are restored during a good night’s sleep. However, he exaggerates it by saying that the supplement will “turn back the clock in all facets, erase wrinkles, age spots, dark circles and bags under the eyes”.

  • Help lose weight during sleep without even trying.

It is the most questionable part. As mentioned, Resurge claims to improve sleep and accelerate the production of serotonin, a hormone that helps burn fat and lose weight. Basically, it argues that as long as your body produces enough of this hormone, you are free to eat anything you want since your body will eventually burn fat while you sleep.

As far as I know, there is indeed a connection between sleep and weight loss. The lack of sleep can lead to hormonal imbalance, making your body create more leptin hormone, which leads to hunger. Therefore, if you sleep enough, you can control your craving. However, scientists have not yet confirmed the effect of serotonin on weight loss.

John Barban advises taking 4 capsules after dinner or 30 minutes before going to bed with a glass of water. Aside from that, it doesn’t require anything else. People don’t have to avoid any food or go on a complicated diet. According to him, it takes approximately 14 days to see the changes. He also suggests using Resurge for 90 – 180 days to see the best result.

These are just what Resurge claims to achieve. Unfortunately, the actual results are not the same as what it promises. Keep reading to find out the answer.

Resurge Review – Who created Resurge?

John Barban

The creator of the Resurge supplement is John Barban. He claims to be a famous nutritionist and health expert with a Ph.D. degree in nutrition. Before creating the product, Barban had to deal with the nightmare of many people, which was being overweight. It led to many diseases, which included heart disease and diabetes.

After a fatal heart attack that almost took his life away, a friend introduced him to a physician, who revealed that the biggest reason behind weight gain is sleep deprivation. He then found the key to fat burning and spent half of his life discovering a weight loss technique that will turn out to be effective in the shortest period of time.

If you search for John Barban on the internet, you will find his website and social media pages. Barban doesn’t seem to be as “famous” as he claims since he only has around 2200 followers on Facebook and Twitter. It is quite a humble number for someone well-known. He has stopped posting on these pages since 2015.

Although Barban is a real person, his story regarding the creation of Resurge is also very questionable. I found it weird that someone with a degree in nutrition could let himself be overweight to the point that he almost lost his life. There is a chance that he only made up the story to promote the Resurge supplement.

It is the only thing we can find about the background of this product. In my opinion, it is unclear and pretty suspicious.

Resurge Review – About The Manufacturer.

So far, it is also unclear what the manufacturer of Resurge is. Linkingo couldn’t find any information regarding the production facility. It is not mentioned on the label nor the official website.

The thing I noticed while searching for the manufacturer is the repetition of the words “FDA approved”. Aside from the main pages, many websites also claim that “Resurge is manufactured in the USA in an FDA approved and GMP certified facility under the most sterile, strict and precise standards”. It, however, makes me feel skeptical about the product.

As far as I know, the FDA regulates dietary supplements but doesn’t approve them. The administration makes it clear that they are not authorized to review dietary supplement products for safety and effectiveness before they are marketed. It’s the manufacturer’s responsibility to ensure their products are safe before they go to the market. That being said, the statement on the Resurge supplement is not valid.

You can further check it by using Drugs@FDA, a full list of FDA-approved products since 1939. I’ve done the checking, and the name Resurge was nowhere on the list.

On the other hand, the term GMP (good manufacturing practices) does make sense. This term is for labs creating pharmaceutical products consistently and remaining quality standards.

The FDA indeed inspect labs for GMP compliance once every couple of years. Hence, the Resurge supplement can be from a GMP lab. Still, I cannot confirm this information, as the lab is not identified.

Resurge Review – The Science Behind Resurge.

To explain scientific evidence behind the Resurge supplement, the official website states that whether one can lose weight or not all depends on a process called metabolic regeneration. According to them, this process is more crucial than any kind of healthy food and exercise. During this stage, vital tissues throughout the body are restored.

John added that, firstly, brain cells will regenerate to maintain a good memory and concentration. Secondly, the whole body will release the somatotropin hormone. This hormone plays a significant role in burning fat and boosting metabolism.

He explained that one can only get to this stage during the deep sleep phase. Therefore, the Resurge team believes that if you sleep enough yet still can’t lose a single pound, this is because you don’t have a real deep sleep phase.

Given the explanation, they declared to create the Resurge supplement to switch on the somatotropin hormone. According to them, the supplement’s primary effect is to prevent Shallow Sleep Syndrome and lengthen your deep sleep phase to burn fat more effectively.

Well, the creator did have a point on the metabolic regeneration. According to research, it is true that this process refreshes and restores your whole body. However, there is no confirmation that somatotropin, or growth hormone, can help lose weight.

Scientists have done many experiments regarding the effect of this hormone for weight loss in obese people. They concluded that an increase of somatotropin can lead to a small improvement in body composition, a small decrease in body fat, and a rise in muscle mass. Still, in general, weight does not change. Trustable research has since then concluded that somatotropin is not an effective treatment for people with obesity.

As a result, burning a significant amount of fat while sleeping doesn’t make sense. Improving your sleep might reverse the aging process, making your skin look better, but doesn’t help you lose pounds without doing anything.

My question is, if the scientific evidence of Resurge is not trustable, then how can we prove that the supplement actually works?

Resurge Review – Resurge Ingredients

It is not hard to find the full ingredient list of Resurge. This supplement consists of:

1200mg Arginine and 1200mg Lysine.

Arginine, or L-arginine, is an amino acid you can find in all protein-containing foods, such as nuts and seeds, or salmons. Scientists have proven that Arginine works in reducing fat and waist circumference. However, the human body normally makes enough of this acid to operate properly.

In case you are planning to use any supplement that contains it, do consult your doctor or physician to see if your body can take more. You also have to adjust your diet because an excessive amount of Arginine can lead to abdominal pain, allergic response, and gout.

Provided that you have asthma, you should not take supplements that contain this amino acid. It might worsen the symptoms.

Lysine is an amino acid used in the biosynthesis of proteins. Scientists have found many effects it can bring, such as reducing anxiety or improving calcium absorption and retention. According to the manufacturer, they extracted this amino acid from herbs; and added it into the formula because it can help you burn fat faster.

However, Lysine’s effect on weight loss and fat burning is not confirmed by any research. A study suggests that it might help reduce blood sugar, but the connection is still unclear.

50mg Magnesium and 15mg Zinc.

Research shows that supplemental magnesium can improve your sleep quality, especially for people with insomnia. Moreover, it reduces stress and stabilizes your mood. In general, Magnesium is well-tolerated by healthy adults. However, an overdose of it might lead to nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. It might be the reason why some customers reported. We will further analyze this in the Customers’ Feedback part.

Zinc can control your midnight hunger since it handles the ghrelin hormone, which is the main reason to make you feel hungry. It plays the role of an appetite blocker and therefore helps you lose weight. Still, in some people, Zinc can cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. In the long run, an excessive amount of it can damage your stomach and liver.

150mg East Indian Ashwagandha Plants.

It is an evergreen shrub you can only find in India, the Middle East, and some parts of Africa. This plant can help you eliminate inflammation, oxidation, stress, and insomnia, as studies revealed. Experts also suggest that you should use East Indian Ashwagandha herb frequently to improve musculoskeletal problems. Furthermore, it will help you control your cholesterol level, as well as blood sugar levels.

So far, there haven’t been any long-term studies to examine possible side-effects. Still, you should note that the harvest of this plant is not regulated by the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This indicates that Ashwagandha is not held to the same standards as pharmaceutical companies and food producers.

200mg L-Theanine.

The manufacturer of Resurge stated that they extract L-Theanine from green tea leaves. It is capable of boosting relaxation, improving the quality of sleep, and sharpening the mind.

However, according to research from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, green tea leaves also contain polyphenol EGCG. It decreases the efficacy of chemotherapy drugs, like bortezomib for example. For that reason, it is very important for people taking chemotherapy drugs to consult their doctors before taking the Resurge supplement.

Though there is not much, green tea leaves do contain caffeine. It leads to side-effects such as nausea, upset stomach, and irritability.

100mg  Hydroxytryptophan.

Your body can naturally product Hydroxytryptophan, as it is the by-product of the protein building block L-tryptophan. For the Resurge supplement, they extract this protein from an Africa plant, Griffonia Simplicifolia.

When you consume, Hydroxytryptophan will work with your brain and neutral system by increasing serotonin. The process helps to calm your mind and improve the symptoms of depression. The creator of Resurge claims that it also helps to lengthen your deep sleep phase, which improves the quality of your sleep. So far, there is no official research to prove this statement.

With no information about the manufacturer and the unproven scientific evidence, Linkingo has concluded that you should not trust this list entirely. What is more important, some customers reported about possible side-effects after using Resurge.

Though the product mainly consists of common ingredients widely used in supplements, medical products, and most of them are safe, there may be a problem with the formula. Notably, users reported palpitations and indigestion, which indicate there might be an excessive amount of Magnesium and L-theanine in the product.

Resurge Review – Price & Purchase Policy.

The product is only available on the official website. It offers 3 options:

  • 30 Days Supply: You will receive one bottle for $49.
  • 90 Days Supply: You will receive three bottles for $117, which means it costs you $39 per bottle.
  • 180 Days Supply: You will receive six bottles for $204, which means it costs you $34 per bottle.

With the service of worldwide shipping, the fee is $9.95 within the U.S and $17 for other countries.

Compared to other weight loss supplements that are available on the market, the price of Resurge is not that low.

Moreover, looking at the ingredient list, we can see that Resurge does not contain any rare herb or plant extract. Not to mention the scientific evidence is still unknown.

Last but not least, considering the fact that this “weight loss supplement” cannot help much in losing weight, as reported from customers’ feedback. Linkingo thinks Resurge does not worth the price.

Worse, the Resurge team also promises its customers a 60-day money-back guarantee. They said “if customers are not happy with the product, just contact them within 2 months and get all your money back”. However, many customers reported that they could not ask for a refund. This is because the customer service team never replied to emails.

Resurge Customer Reviews And Feedback.

Despite the false information, Resurge still receives a lot of compliments on the internet. Many articles and reviews about this supplement say that it worked well and would help you achieve your dream body quickly:

It will be hard for you to find negative comments on the Resurge supplement. However, in many review communities, a large group of users criticized this product, saying it is just a SCAM.

On Trustpilot, Resurge received 93% of bad reviews. Though the manufacturer said that you would receive the product within 3 – 5 working days, people commented on the slow shipping. Some of them haven’t received their orders though it has been months. It seems that you won’t receive a tracking code after placing your orders, which is a huge minus point compared to other products. As such, you can’t know if they are processing the requests or not.

Customers also reported on the side effects, which are palpitations and indigestion, showing that the product is not 100% safe. As mentioned above, these effects might be the result of consuming too much Magnesium and L-theanine at once. Though only a few encountered this problem, we would like to warn our readers about these possible risks:

Most importantly, many of them said that Resurge did not help them lose weight at all. John Barban promises that users will see the results after approximately 2 weeks. Still, some of them have been using for more than a month without seeing any change:

Another group reported about the terrible customer service. According to them, the only way you can contact the Resurge team is via the email address support@resurge.com. However, they have never received any response except for automatic emails.

In case you already purchased Resurge and want to ask for a refund, you can contact with Clickbank instead. Your request will be processed at once. As you can see in the below comment from a customer, Clickbank processed her refund shortly.

Resurge any side effects? Is Resurge safe?

So far, several customers reported on the side effects with palpitations and indigestion. Therefore, Linkingo finds that the product is not 100% safe as it claims. Though not all customers encountered the problem, we would like to warn our readers about these possible risks.

Resurge Supplement Review – Is It Worth Trying?

Linkingo does not recommend you to use this product. We suggest that users be wary of the Resurge supplement, due to the questionable theories regarding the scientific evidence and possible side-effects it might bring. Many customers were not happy with the service and the effectiveness of this product.
