The Fat Burning Kitchen Review 2020: The Truth About Your Diet

Welcome to our review on The Fat Burning Kitchen program by Mike Geary and Catherine Ebeling.

As society marches on and we all become busier, we start to get more careless with what we consume. As a result, most of us have the annoying problem of gaining too much fat and not being fit enough. And sometimes, we believed that this or that food was healthy and ate them a lot. But ironically, they contain more fat than we expected.

In addition to the already harmful food such as sugar and oil, some foods also misled us. Those foods market themselves as “diet” or “healthy”, such as soy milk, juice, whole-grain cereal, etc. We thought that there would be no harm in eating them. Yet, we didn’t realize that we have been directly putting strain into our bodies.

Because of this, it’s essential to have a diet with truly healthy food. It’s even more ideal if your health is improved and your fat is burned at the same time. The Fat Burning Kitchen is a program with such types of diet. It claims to make us understand the hidden damage in what we thought to be innocuous foods and recommend what you should eat to burn fat and preserve health.

However, the program only focuses on diet and what we should eat, rather than recommending exercises and such. It might leave us skeptical on whether the program works as it claims. The Fat Burning Kitchen review today will examine whether the method really works.

About The Fat Burning Kitchen

The Fat Burning Kitchen is a diet program with a strong focus on our nutritional intake. It comes in the form of a digital book.

The Fat Burning Kitchen PDF

It works with an exciting approach rather than stressing over our calorie intake like some other diets. This one instead focuses on the nutrients we consume. It looks at the types of food we usually eat and breaks them down into two categories: harmful and harmless (or at least relatively less harmful). Rather than telling you that you should cut down your diet as much as possible, it still gives you a wide choice of tasty and healthful foods to add to your meals.

Also, it doesn’t focus on too much training and instead only tells us to focus on what we eat. It could make the book very helpful for those who wish to lose the chubby stomach but have too little time for training and exercises. Yet, the lack of any actual physical activities might be a turnoff, because most of us believe that we need to combine diet with exercises for the best results.

Mike Geary and Catherine Ebeling

According to my research, Mike Geary is a certified personal trainer and nutrition expert, and the author of another best-selling book, “The Truth about Six Pack Abs.” He has also had numerous published articles on the subject of nutrition.

Meanwhile, Catherine Ebeling has also been a certified personal trainer for 15 years, in addition to having Masters of Science in Public Health Nursing and 25 years of experience in the field of diet, nutrition, and health. She has co-authored with Mike Geary on some other books such as “The Flat-Belly Kitchen”, most of which gather mainly positive reviews.

You can rest assured that the program is written by experts who know what they are doing. At the end of the book, there is also a list of references and other studies. The authors have based their methods on those researches.

The Fat Burning Kitchen Review – What Is Inside The Program?

There are two main phases in the program:

  • The first phase with 10 chapters lists food that you should avoid.
  • The second phase with 13 chapters provides a list of food you can enjoy.

The first phase: Food That You Should Avoid

Each chapter of this phase lists one type of food that contains hidden damage to your body. For instance,Chapter 1 sheds light on the harm of foods made with refined flour and corn products. Those are white rice, white bread, white potatoes, pasta, and potato chips, etc. Most of them sound harmless initially.

Chapter 2 talks about food & drinks containing high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), a sweetener made from corn starch. It is very prevalent because of its low price; particularly in the US, you might be surprised by how a lot of food contains this. The notable menu includes soda and candy, which are quite unhealthy and loaded with sugar. Yet, bread and breakfast cereals also have a lot of HFCS.

Many brands of bread make sure to put an excessive amount of this sweetener into their product. Meanwhile, some cereal brands contain over 10 grams of sugar in just one serving. Another abundant source of HFCS is store-bought baked goods. Those include cookies and muffins or store-bought jam and juice. Yogurt, a snack believed to be healthy, may also be sweetened with plenty of HFCS. It’s especially if a particular yogurt brand is advertised as low-fat. The manufacturer will then add more HFCS to make up for the lack of fat.

Chapter 7 meanwhile breaks down our illusion of tofu, textured vegetable protein (TVP), soy milk, and other soy-based products. Despite having been praised as flawless, healthy food for a long time, many studies have found that soy can lead to malnutrition, digestive distress, cognitive decline, and even cancer and heart disease. It is because most soybeans are genetically modified, which may result in health problems, as mentioned earlier.

Also, soybeans naturally contain antinutrients like saponins, soya toxins, and phytates. If fermented (like in miso, tempeh, natto, and soy sauce), these antinutrients will be destroyed. Your body can then benefit from soy’s nutritional values. However, most of us, especially Westerners, consume unfermented soy products. Those include tofu, TVP, and soy milk, which is not so healthy anymore.

Chapter 5 points out that the kind of commercial pasteurized dairy is not that good for us. As the pasteurization process has destroyed valuable enzymes and vitamins, the dairy is left with little nutrition. And there are still plenty of other foods that the program delves deep into and analyzes their damage to the body.

Then, what should we eat if most of the foods we consume are so harmful? And this is where the second phase comes in. The second phase assures us with just as numerous healthy yet delicious food choices for you to enjoy without any problem and helps you with fat burning in the process.

The second phase: Food That You Could Enjoy

For this second phase, each chapter lists a type of food that is good for you and doesn’t give you unwanted fat. For example, Chapter 11 shows us the benefits of consuming high-quality grass-fed beef: this beef type has fewer calories than grain-fed beef, contains more healthy fat, decreases the risk of heart disease, and so on.

It also mentions wild-caught fish and free-range chicken, and how they are generally better than factory-raised ones. As the wild fish and free-range chicken have complete control over what they eat, they have a complete nutritional profile. Wild-caught fish are a lot richer in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, while the free-range chicken is richer in protein, tastes better, and produces healthier eggs.

Speaking of eggs, many of you might have doubts about whether to consume them often or not, as the media tend to make eggs look quite bad. It might be right for eggs at grocery stores, but this book makes clear that free-range eggs, on the other hand, are perfect for you. Produced by the free-range chicken, these eggs have three to six times more vitamin D than store-bought ones, more vitamin E; and contain less cholesterol and saturated fat.

Chapter 12 then introduces us to raw milk and cheese. As mentioned above, pasteurization destroys harmful bacteria and good bacteria, leaving the pasteurized milk void of nutrition. While raw milk has the risks of harmful bacteria like salmonella and Escherichia coli, it still preserves all the goods initially presented in the milk. The enzymes of raw milk and its cheese help digestion progress and leave less risk of abdominal bloating and cramps.

After what we talk about the unhealthy sweetener HFCS above, you might be wondering if there is any safer sweetener? Chapter 18 shows you the “real” maple syrup, raw honey, and Stevia sugar (a type of sugar produced from the Stevia plant). While these can’t be categorized as totally harmless, they are nevertheless a lot healthier than the plain white sugar or HFCS.

Who should use The Fat Burning Kitchen?

  • The consensus is that the program is suitable for almost everyone. With its easy-to-understand format, its low price and values for such a price, and the fact that it doesn’t require an intense training regimen like other diet programs, it would be beneficial for most people.
  • It is especially so for busy people who don’t have enough time for training but still want to improve their diet and burn fat.

Who Should Not Use The Fat Burning Kitchen

  • Nevertheless, the book does require a drastic change in our diet, and wouldn’t suit people who can’t do so for reasons. Some Asian readers might find it hard to agree with this book because it deems white rice as unhealthy, even though it is the main component of most Asian diets.
  • People with allergies should also follow this book with caution, as despite the book deeming raw dairy and nuts as good for you, for people allergic to them, this is a big no-no.

The Fat Burning Kitchen Customer Reviews/ Feedback

They reported that they did indeed become slimmer and healthier after a few weeks of following the program. They also enjoyed the refund policy and found it reassuring not to risk losing anything even if they don’t like it.

However, some reported having trouble with how they were bombarded with offers to purchase other books before actually able to download this.
